I'm too lazy to read all of this right now, but I have something to say on the matter. I was dead for four hours...and it was literally hell. Yes, it was a suicide attempt, but still. It was like the weight of the world I had to take, just because of the death. I always thought I wanted to die, but now I know there are things that need to be finished before death.
To die, is like being born. You dont know when it is, how it is, or if its going to be something big. Its just natures way of saying "Get the fuck out of my home." And some people dont accept they have to die, so they keep believing they are immortal. But soon you have to face the music, and sometimes for some people it is too late.
Death is a gift. Sometimes you want it, sometimes you dont. But you have to keep it to respect the persons wishes who gave it to you. And nature gave it to you.

to me death seems to be something that can only happen when it is ready to happen, death chooses who dies and when they die, it also chooses how they die, death is not to be feared, it is a relief of the pain that you gain during life, with this, it makes you feel better, meaning death is something to be celebrated...like people celebrate christmas, death happens only once to someone, when it happens....enjoy it

Death happens once we've chosen to stop be in a state of becoming.....organ failure comes later.
or, at least, that's Bob Dylan's view (laughs)
I, personally, think not of death as something that is far off in the future, something that is to be feared as something coming your way, that you've got to worry over, but something you're staring in the face right now, willing yourself to live in the presence of....
it's nothing to be feared....it's something to be conquered.

I used to not fear death, but as time goes by and I don't go to church, I start wondering more about what happens afterward. What if everything I've ever believed is a lie? What if I die and... the end. That's all there is to it. There's no thinking. I got what I had and no more. So... ya. I'm iffy on death. Probably leaning a little more to "not afraid of it," though.

I think there's a couple different possibilities in death......and they depend on your state of mind at death
If you really feel like something is not done, and your mind is tied to the world, than your spirit, wave existence, whatever won't disperse, and you'll hang around in the world, stuck in a loop
If you're completely at peace, your mind and spirit will simply disperse, to be simply energy.....and you will not exist again, since your personality and memories are simply chemicals left in your now-decaying brain.
However.......if your will is strong enough, and you make a deep enough of an impression on your spirit, then.............well, that's the question.
That's my belief, so far.....it wasn't formed by the scientific method, but it's pretty much compounded and synthesized from all the beliefs I've heard......and it makes enough sense, to me.
But, then again......as Tom Clancy once said "Fiction has to make sense."......who knows what the truth is
