I'm not gonna say anything biased to start off with, but....
What's your view on the current scufflings over oil?
Can we keep up with the demand for oil?
Should we pursue alternative fuels, such as Biodiesel?

We have the reservations of oil, ya know. We've kinda kept the demand. All you hear is how pricey it is, not how little we have. You don't hear about people saying "Oh, no. There's no oil for me to do [this] and [that]."

Eventually oil is going to go to unreasonable prices. The normal amount of oil taken from oil deposits is about half of the deposit after that it costs more to get the oil and doesn't have as high of quality of the top half of oil. So typically oil companies abandon a oil deposit after it is half way gone. When all the oil in the world is half way gone it will cost more to get it and prices will soar. Thats why we should have water cars.

I pose another question to Icephoenix: if we knew how to make a moving vehicle, which could use water as a power source in one way or another, don't you think we would've made one by now? More than one person has tried to make a water-powered car......but, you know why they've all failed? it's the problem as using nuclear fusion for energy....more energy is needed to start the reaction than there is energy produced. or, at least, that's because they've tried to split hydrogen away from the water molecule, to use as fuel.........If you can come up with a way that we can use pure water as a source of energy, I'd be the first one to congradulate you [and, if you already knew all of this, consider this post a short little explanation for anyone who's wondered why we haven't used water-powered cars yet. ]

I knew that I was just saying we need them. What we need now is a cheaper more dependable source of energy that can be used over and over again.

Or swine manure. I read in a magazine some scientists found a way to make oil out of pig droppings.

I can't remember the exact, little scientific name of it, but there's a plan in America that can convert, basically, ANY type of animal fat or oil into usable fuel.
But, there's only one of 'em, probably because all of the oil companies are restricting it to extremely small operation.
