Has anyone else seen this movie?
When I saw that it was directed by Bryan Singer, I instantly thought that this would be a decent movie, as I knew him as the director of X-Men 1 and 2, and really enjoyed those films. Well, in my opinion, when I saw the movie, I wasn't disappointed. What's more, the music is composed by none of than John Williams, the same guy who did the Star Wars music, and boy was it great.
The movie starts off by showing the planet Krypton, with Superman's father Jor-El narrating a message to Superman. But from the credits rolling on, I thought it would be a bit low budget, the credits were very unimpressive, but the music was great.
In the movie, we also find out that Superman had left for 5 years, and during these years, the people of Earth had moved on, including Lois Lane, who now has a child, Jason, and engaged to the editor of the Daily Planet's nephew.
Kevin Spacey played the part of Lex Luther, and god did he do it brilliantly. Some of the humour that came from him, mostly by what his assistant says, is great, but Spacey played Luther more bad and psychiotic.
The film goes on for 2hr 30mins, but is intensely good throughout. The bank robbery scene was extraordinary, where Superman really lives to his name "The Man of Steel", taking bullet after bullet from a gatling gun point-blank, with the bullets just bouncing off him, although it did seem rather creepy as he walking into them, and the point-blank pistol shot to the eye in slow-motion showing the bullet just crumple and fall.

Personally, I've never really liked any of the characters from the DC Comics universe.....I've always been more of an X-men kind of person.

I thought superman looked wimpy. Even when the bullets were bouncing off him I couldn't help but think about how much time he must have spent in makeup and getting his hair styled just right.
