So, what did you think of the new movie?

I liked it, quite alot. The graphics were kick ass, although at times, the story was slightly iffy, and the way it was done. Lucas sure does love his transition effects between scenes.
One thing i HATED was Grievous. Now, dont get me wrong, he kicked MAJOR ass, looked cool and was very cool, but he didnt do enough in it. He died like 10 minutes after he started actually fighting, and that was with all the running away crap. damn, we want more Grievous.
I lvoed how Mace Windu dyed, though. Getting his arm sliced off, then electrocuted through the window. lmao...
MORE GRIEVOUS
But, overall, amazing film, and should definately be seen.
On the topic of Star Wars, who has seen the Clone Wars episodes? There the animated ones whcih were shown on Toonami over here. Now,they were cool..

I was going to buy it but it looked kinda..crappy, so i bought My chemical romance - three cheers for sweet revenge instead =D, I'm glad theydidnt show much og greivous, he wasnt very...entertaining.
but they should have shown more of darth maul in tpm....i have the comic book where he is ressurected and he fights vader, this is set after ROTS but before ANH

lol yeah i kno wot u mean bout the transitions im suprised there wasnt a tonne of star wipes aswell but i think they should have deffinately showed more of vader breaking through the temple then more of yoda and obi wan storming into the temple just to add more action to the movie i was unhappy with mace windu's death hes sposed to be a proper jedi master and he dies in such a poncy way and yeah i agree with xero they shoulda had more grievous obi wan makes such light work of him really yodas great tho hes so funny when he walks into emporers office and the elite guard aim at him then *bang* theyre both unconsious on the floor heh

i love all the star wars and i'm glad the final one was SO DAMN KICK ARSE! especially r2 and yoda. gotta love those two. the effects were amazing (as is to be expected) but the dialouge was a bit lacking (as is to be ex- oh wait... im a fan. never mind). i was saddend when mace died. and grivious was strange, he looked neat, but he was an incredible coward. and it took me forever to figure out he wasnt a real droid XD (me=slow). at the end, when darth did the slow "nooooooooo!" thing, i started to crack up laughing. all these people started to give me dirty looks because it was supposed to be all sad XD!!! starwars has been a big part of my life (for example, i have no dobut that my dad is a jedi). and now that its over, and i have to say good bye, im sad. but at least it went out with a bang! ^__^

General Grievous is awesome, I love the bit where he's fighting Obi Wan and he starts rotating his upper two arms really fast. And then Obi Wan just cuts one off

The fight at the beginning is ace and the fight between obi-wan and anakin is ace too, when anakin jumped up he had about 2 feet further to fall down *tee hee*
general grievous was good, he did'nt look well at the beginning, and after his fight with obi was he did'nt look verry well at all *tee hee*
the bit were mace windu died was'nt too good, some jedi master he was
Yoda was great
Obi wan was great too
Anakin turned evil too fast
Pie tastes nice

I never actually liked mace windu....he was a bit arrogant and annoying, and mace would never have been able to beat palpatine, if yoda couldnt beat him he couldnt, only the man with the highest midchlorian count could, his apprentice darth vader.....anyway i wanna talk about your fave moment from any star wars movie, mine is when Han Solo in Epi IV runs towards the stormtroopers roaring..that was cool....

I dont particualy like windu but i think the way he died sucked for a jedi master he should have done better for a death than that!

He killed his wife, he broke her heart so he was basically seeing what he was going to do.....and him going evil too quickly? once you are snared by the darkside it consumes you

This is about Amseths Valerin post earlier. The Yuuzhan Vong Books are well good. Thats where I got my name from, especially how all their things are organic and they hate machines. I haven't read the Thrawn Trilogy, I want to and I want to read the Centerpoint books as well. AND WHAT THE HELL IS THE EYE OF PALPATINE?Its a super weapon but what does it do. Oh yeah Knights of the Old Republic is cool as well. And Amseth Valerin are you Tal Ferral?

Post by Lucidus Amo on Jun 12, 2005 18:19:12 GMT
I am Tal Ferral! w00t! ;D
Heh, the Thrawn trilogy is like, one of the best Trilogies for Star Wars. Yuuzhang Vong are great!!! They even mutilate themselves, and their corral fighters are just sheer brilliance... but sad luck vong, the Jedi know how to combat the fact you can deflect anything if yu change ur shield frequency... No Target Lock -> Fire Proton Torpedo -> Use The Force To Guide It (Move Object in D20 terms) -> BOOM!!

I don't like Star Wars, but Yoda is a pimp.

Well if Yoda couldn't beat Sidious Windu never would have. Actually, Mace Windu could have beaten Palpatine, even if Yoda couldn't... Yoda focuses more on the force aspect, where as Mace has focused more on the lightsaber side. It's also a relevant fact that Mace Windu is THE Jedi WEAPON MASTER, a title that is given to only the best lightsaber practioners, this title was NOT given to Yoda Thus Mace Windu is better at the weapons side of the Force, where as Yoda is a practitioner of the Force itself rather than the weapon side. Mace Windu = Jedi Guardian Yoda = Jedi Consulate

Agreed. Mace Windu would have kicked Palpatines ass. Yoda just kicks ass cos' he's small and green, I mean, just imagine trying to fight a two foot tall green dude who can fly around. Even if you are a badass Sith Lord. This is every Sith Lord I know of, feel free to add to it: Darth Vader Darth Bandon Darth Maul Darth Bane Darth Nihilus Darth Malak Darth Tyranus\Count Dooku Darth Revan
